Eric Fino doesn't know about Slum Village. This is a problem. So what more fitting a way to end the week-long slackness than to share a phenomenal experience with a finomenal person?

I remember when Mike J. Bart (hollar @ you DJ Barticus) dragged me into the studio in high school and demanded I rock out to this new isht [sic] he found. Studio = awesome audio gear = music sounds good. The 'new isht' was Slum Village, post J-88, on the Fantastic Volume 2 tip, pre-seperation from Jay Dilla (RIP). Needless to say, I fell in love. I had already been flirting with hip-hop at that point, but was still whetting my apetite. This 'isht' was the clincher. No words are worthwhile. I'd say it's some of the best sample-based music ever.
