Driving to NYC pt. 2
The second jam that kept me sane through the traffic and the Jersey Tpk is the 1983 Bad Brains album Rock For Light. I found this cd deep in a closet full of swords and rock climbing gear at my parents house. Jersey sucks. Angry hardcore sprinkled with jammy reggae made everything a little sunnier.
I really can't say much about Bad Brains that hasn't been said, but anything Henry Rollins likes is probably good.

wow. i haven't heard anyone mention bad brains in over a decade. how very old school bad-boy of you.
as for the jersey tunrpike, i feel your pain. for some reason no matter how far you've already driven, the turnpike is the worst. smelly.
